Computerizing the Knitting Machine – part 2

The casing of our knitting machine got partly damaged when it was first shipped to us. For a while we could just cover damaged parts with tape, but computerising the machine needed as to open big parts of the machine cover, so we decided to print a proper case with the 3D printer. A case that covers and protects moving machine parts, holds the added electronics and allows easily to connect the machine to the computer:
